Answers to common questions about nominations, submissions and the Awards.
Who can enter?
Individuals and businesses operating in the Australian or New Zealand property industry, subject to category-specific eligibility.
What is the award achievement eligibility period?
Eligible achievements must fall within 1 October 2025 to 1 October 2026 inclusive. This is separate from the submissions window, which opens 1 October 2026 and closes 5 November 2026. Check each category for its specific eligibility requirements.
Is entry free?
Yes. Entry to the Real Estate Today Awards 2027 is free.
Can I nominate myself?
Yes. You can nominate yourself, a colleague, a team, an agency or an eligible organisation.
Can I nominate another person?
Yes. Nominations may be submitted on behalf of a colleague, team or organisation.
Can businesses enter?
Yes. Businesses operating in the Australian or New Zealand property industry can enter eligible categories.
Can New Zealand entrants enter?
Yes. The Awards cover Australia and New Zealand.
Can I enter more than one category?
Yes. Each category needs its own nomination and its own submission.
What evidence is required?
Evidence requirements are category-specific. See the published category details in the entry portal.
Can I save my entry and come back later?
Yes. Entries autosave in the Awards entry portal, so you can return and continue at any time before submitting.
Can I amend an entry after submitting?
Yes. Submitted entries can be amended in the Awards entry portal until submissions close on Thursday 5 November 2026.
How does judging work?
RET uses AI-assisted assessment against each category’s published criteria with written rationale. Awards administrators review assessments before finalist or winner outcomes are confirmed. Nothing is published automatically. AI-assisted writing is neither rewarded nor penalised.
When do submissions close?
Submissions close Thursday 5 November 2026.
When are finalists announced?
Finalists are announced on Friday 27 November 2026.
Where is the Awards event?
Cruise Bar, Circular Quay, Sydney, on Thursday 4 March 2027.
How do I buy tickets?
Tickets are $160 + GST + booking fee and are sold through Humanitix at events.humanitix.com/ret-awards-2027. Humanitix confirms the checkout total. Buying a ticket has no bearing on judging.
